MBA · Author · Keynote Speaker · Strategic Advisor · Interim CEO · Professor
Jocelyn Greenky, MBA is a business transformation expert, keynote speaker, author, and advisor — and the founder of Sider Road.
Known as a professional business “fixer,” she is the person leaders call when the business is complicated, the family is complicated, and the usual advice isn’t cutting it. With more than 40 years inside Fortune 500 companies, family enterprises, and founder-led businesses, she serves as a strategic advisor, interim CEO, keynote speaker, author, and professor — often all at once — stepping in where things look fine on paper but aren’t moving in real life, and helping people do what they’ve been avoiding so the business can move forward.
The Inside Rules Every Working Girl Must Know · Simon & Schuster
Your reputation isn’t what you say it is — it’s what people experience when you’re in the room, and when you’re not.
Her insights have been featured on CNBC, CNN, and FOX, and in The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today, Fortune, and Forbes, among many others. She has been a columnist for Gotham, Hamptons Magazine, and The Huffington Post, and is a sought-after speaker for leading corporations and universities including Viacom, Kraft, General Foods, NYU, Syracuse, Drexel, Villanova, and Columbia.
Jocelyn’s credibility comes from having done the work, not just advised on it. Over four decades in the operator’s chair, she carried the weight of the decision across roles including Digital Global Editorial Director at Hachette Filipacchi — where she led ELLE, Car and Driver, Road & Track, Woman’s Day, and 20+ international titles — and Head of Broadcasting and Event Marketing at Wenner Media, where she created the first branded television for E!, FOX, ESPN, and the Weather Channel on behalf of Rolling Stone and Men’s Journal and launched Rolling Stone Live. Earlier, she managed brand events for Philip Morris, including Virginia Slims, Marlboro, and Cartier. She has also served as COO of Colin Cowie Lifestyle and CEO of Ortho Marketing, consulting for clients including Material Bank, The Wall Street Journal, HBO, and iNDEMAND. She also co-founded and led BriteBean, a technology venture that connected recipe websites to grocery stores — building it from the ground up to a successful exit when it was acquired by D’Agostino’s.
She holds an MBA in Organizational Leadership (with distinction) from Mercy University and a B.S. from Syracuse University. She is currently an Adjunct Professor at Queens College, CUNY, having previously taught at Mercy College, and was the first woman in the master’s business program and first adjunct professor to receive a research grant — for her IRB-sanctioned research on psychological safety in the global workplace.
Born and raised in Buffalo, NY, Jocelyn grew up in a large family, attended a Jesuit high school, and spent her summers on a multigenerational Mennonite farm in Canada named Sider Road — the home of her family’s beloved housekeeper, Emma. There she learned the values that shaped her approach to life and business: graciousness, patience, kindness, inclusivity, strong moral fiber, and an extraordinary work ethic. Today she runs Sider Road alongside her daughter, Jade Herz, making the firm itself a family business. She resides in Greenwich, CT, with her husband, Keith, and their two dogs; their blended family of six children cherishes visits for home-cooked meals and family warmth.
