JOCELYN GREENKY UNDERWOOD

Jocelyn is a keynote speaker with extensive expertise in solving business challenges.  She fixes or launches and is trusted by global CEO’s.  With a 30-year background working in Fortune 500 companies, mid sized and start-ups, Adjunct Professor and published author, she offers a unique perspective on the workplace. She works with family-run businesses, international brands, management teams, owners and employees.  Jocelyn is an author of The Big Sister’s Guide to the World of Work: The Inside Rules Every Working Girl Must Know, and has been featured on CNBC, FOX, and CNN, and in The New York Times, USA Today, and Washington Post, among others.

Formerly, she was digital Global Editorial Director at Hachette Filipacchi (ELLE, Eating Well, Travel Holiday, George, Car and Driver, Road & Track, Flying, Boating, Women’s Day, Top model, Met Home, Home, Cycle World;  Head of Broadcasting and Event Marketing for Wenner Media (Rolling Stone, US, and Men’s Journal); and Philip Morris as event manager for Virginia Slims, Bucks, Cartier, and Marlboro. Jocelyn also was COO of Colin Cowie, a lifestyle and event brand, and CEO of BriteBean Technology. 

She holds an MBA in Organizational leadership and from University (with distinction), and a B.S. from Syracuse University. She was awarded the first grant to an adjunct business school professor and woman in the master’s business school to study psychological safety in the global workplace. 

Jocelyn lives in Greenwich, CT with her three dogs and husband.  Her combined six children are always happy to come home for fresh cooked meals and lots of love.

JOHN POWER

Dr. John Power is a proven senior executive whose career has encompassed many industries and roles. He is currently involved in three start-up businesses as a founder; a robotics company where he serves as COO, a marketing technology company where he serves as CEO, and a financial technology company where he serves as CFO.

Prior to these endeavors, John was the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer of DS Healthcare Group, Inc, a Nasdaq listed company where he helped the company avoid bankruptcy and be sold saving shareholder value.

 Previously, John was the CEO and Founder of Mark My Media, an education technology company providing pathways to the finance industry for students in universities across the US. Other roles include, COO and CFO of Mantara, a venture-backed technology firm focused on high frequency/low-latency trading platforms. John was Chief Administrative Officer at Mellon Investor Services and President of Mellon Securities through their acquisition by Bank of New York and was part of the integration team.  Prior to Mellon, John was the Director of Finance for E*Trade Financial.  During his tenure, John was involved in sixteen acquisitions by E*Trade including Harrisdirect purchased from BMO Financial Group and BrownCo purchased from JPMorgan Chase & Co.  Prior to E*Trade, John was Controller/Chief of Staff for Bank Julius Baer’s US Private banking unit.  John started his management career in finance at Spear, Leeds & Kellogg.

John serves on the faculty of Mercy University’s College of Business. He is currently the Director of the MBA Program and the Chair of Graduate Business program. John has a B.S. in Finance from Manhattan College, an M.B.A. from Dowling College and has completed his Doctoral degree in business at Wilmington University. His dissertation was Exploratory Analysis of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Impact and Opportunities for Financial Services Compliance. He was a contributing author to 97 things about Ethics that Everyone in Data Science Should Know.

John lives in Bayside, NY with his wife and two sons. He enjoys mentoring his current and former students and volunteers for the Boy Scouts.

RACHEL GLICKMAN

With over 35+ years of experience working in top-tier organizations and entrepreneurial environments, Rachel Glickman is a digital pioneer. She has had extensive success in forms of traditional and non-traditional media, including television, radio, print, outdoor, and online; and is highly skilled at defining strategic vision, while driving creativity and innovation to bring ideas to life.

Rachel currently serves as managing director responsible for global innovation and operations for Time Out Group, a multi-platform media and experiential enterprise based in London. In this role, she oversees revenue operations in EMEA, North America, and APAC, managing teams around the world.

 

Her experience also includes serving as chief digital officer at Playbill, the magazine for Broadway, off-Broadway, and classic arts theatergoers, where she fully reimagined and relaunched the magazine’s website to enable accessibility across all platforms; and expand editorial coverage beyond theater to include travel, fashion, dining, and other content geared to the lifestyle of the upscale, active theater attendee. Prior to Playbill, Rachel was general manager of Woman’s Day Digital, building a robust digital experience for a devoted print audience. Following the sale of the parent company, HFMUS, to Hearst Corporation, she was named a key member of the transition team to integrate the brand into Hearst Digital Media. Before Woman’s Day, Rachel held senior management positions at Lotame Solutions, Fotolog, AOL, and Time Warner.

Rachel holds a bachelor’s degree from the Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University.
